Today - 4th round of the FA Cup!

In a few minutes Spurs take on the hated Manchester United in the 4th round. How I would like MU to go out.

I should explain - although MUFC are known and marketed world wide most 'normal' footy fans despise them. They are symptomatic of the enormous rift between the haves and have not's in football. They also have many fans who have no association with Manchester at all, unlike the urban myth there are MU fans there, but it does and has for a long time appeal to much more than a local faithful.

In Europe I wish them well in the Premiership and FA Cup I would like to see the stranglehold taken away from the 'celebrity' clubs and the proceeds handed out much more evenly right down to the grass roots.

Not that my rant will make the slightest of difference except get it off my chest :-)

Busy times

Well the marketing of the WB is taking off and I have also started to customise the site. It is starting to to fulfill the promise I saw in the vBulletin software on other sites. Yottie is a happy bunny.

Except there is now a further delay in my vital meeting with my employers. I would just like to get it done. The sarcoid is messing me about to - my fatigue levels are all over the shop. That is a real pain in the arse; I thought all this was over .

Never mind I expect it will calm down soonish, mind you in sarcoid terms that could still be months. I'm really glad I have to take mt mid off it and fill the days.

Easier times?

Well it seems the situation with my employer's is becoming clearer, and they will learn not to kick a dog when he's down; 'nuff said.

The Block is coming together and I am feeling some sort of creative buzz. My own writing has been on hold for sometime as I think my muse has been neglectful. Like it or not My sarcoidosis has given me some time, and time is a rare and valuable resource.

Speaking personally it is one I can be guilty of failing to share effectively. I have this ability to 'cut myself off' from the world. I do wonder if that is an ability shaped in to all only children by necessity?

So as always with opportunity comes responsibility - I must resist the insular protection of my own little world to be fair to those nearest and dearest to me.

So it was the easiest of times; it was the hardest of times...

Trillian and other things

Now I am a big fan of THHGTG and so Trillian had instant (tic) appeal.

As we have users with so many different IM's its ideal I can log in to aim, yahoo, icq and msn all at the same time. I can recommend it if you have a range of contacts to chat with. The free basic version is just fine for most things you will want to do. Mind you, I never use a webcam...

Writer's Block is coming along and I am getting great help from the members in fine tuning it. I want to avoid modding it however and keep to gold software; it needs to be as bug free as I can make it.

Put on the rubber gloves today and did the housework we should have done last week...
Oh the joys of house husbandry!

New year and a new site for the forum

I have upgraded Writer's Block to VBulletin. It is a nice piece of software that gives much more flexibility than the old SMF forum. Once Writer's Block settles down again it will be time to update the main home page and the rest of the site...

Long overdue really, but work has taken a high priority; not that it seems to be appreciated by my company! This blog is now dealing with updates to both sites has vB has its own blogging within the application.

Unfortunately the moronic forces of censorship still rove around accusing people that write of far more than just imagination and fantasy.

Frank McCoy has been targeted yet again. It is a shame that the busybodies can't go and tackle the real issue. Author's don't harm children people do. Often the people who they should be able to trust the most. Tell me then what is the point of a crusade against an individual that writes.

Is it too simple an equation for the moral bigots? If you are involved in anything real and harmful to actual live children, you would not bring attention to yourself by writing and publishing stories. The people that do these things are expert in looking like everyone else; the last thing they would do is put their head above the parapet!

Are we really still in the age of the Luddites? It would seem so.

A sad and disappointed Yotna signing off, and hoping the kids that are in real danger get some attention too.
